What does a successful Technical Consultant do in Fiserv?

A successful Technical Consultant at Fiserv leads a technical team of application architects and programmers, providing expertise in VisionPlus application analysis, design, and development. This role involves managing complex projects, offering subject matter expertise to internal and external customers, and ensuring the delivery of technical solutions that meet client needs. The Senior System Analyst plays a crucial role in resolving production issues and guiding teams to adhere to Fiserv's development methodologies and standards.

What you will do:

· Lead a technical team of application architects and programmers for complex VisionPlus application projects.

· Provide subject matter expertise to the team, internal, and external customers.

· Develop detailed plans for the delivery of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with functional requirements.

· Review deliverables to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.

· Liaise with internal and external suppliers to resolve issues.

· Guide teams in resolving production issues with clients and other software vendors.

· Ensure that Fiserv development methodologies and standards are followed.

· Operate within agreed contractual guidelines and meet agreed client SLA measures.

What you will need to have:

· 10+ years of experience in application development using CICS, COBOL, Java, and MicroFocus.

· 10+ years of experience with mainframe file systems such as VSAM / IAM.

· 10+ years of experience with scheduling tools such as CA-7 or Control-M.

· 10+ years of experience with file transmission tools like FTP and Connect Direct.

What would be great to have:

· Knowledge of Changeman, Endevor, and Infoman.

· Understanding of the Cards and Loans business and function
