Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced automotive Security Research and Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the research and development of advanced security solutions focusing on vehicle firmwares. This role involves conducting cutting-edge research, developing innovative security technologies, and ensuring the safety and integrity of vehicle firmware against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Research:

-Conduct advanced research on firmware security technologies and emerging threats.

-Develop and prototype new technology for automotive firmware security.

Product or Engine Development:

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security features into our product.

-Ensure that security considerations are integrated into the product development lifecycle.

-Work closely with product development teams to align security features with product requirements.

Management small research projects:

-Lead research or POC project from concept to implementation.

-Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

-Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

Education:

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

-Ph.D. in a relevant field is a plus.

Experience:

-Minimum of 7 years of experience in embedded/IOT/Automotive development.

-Strong knowledge of development lifecycle of firmwares in embedded/IOT/Automotive industry.

-Proven experience on apply security principles and practices.

-Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and their applications in firmware security.

-Extensive experience with Linux and various Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).

-Strong experience in using different toolchains for firmware development.

-Deep understanding of various firmware formats and different embedded architectures.

-Proven track record of developing and implementing security solutions in automotive/IOT industry is a plus.

Skills:

-Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.

-Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies for firmware.

-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

-Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

-Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) is a plus.

-Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29 is a plus.
