Purpose of this Position
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our networking device development team. This role is critical in designing and implementing embedded software on RTOS and embedded Linux platforms, enabling the performance, reliability, and security of our next-generation industrial networking products. You will participate in system-level architecture, protocol design, and low-level hardware integration. This position offers the opportunity to lead technical decisions and collaborate across functions to deliver high-impact solutions.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and debug embedded software in C for networking-enabled industrial products (Nport).
  • Integrate and optimize communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SNMP) under resource-constrained environments.
  • Contribute to system architecture, modular software design, and technical documentation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (HW/FW/QA) for board bring-up, driver integration, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot system-level issues across hardware, OS, and networking layers.
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and enhance release quality.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience:

  • 5–7 years of experience in embedded software development for networking or industrial products.

  • Practical experience with RTOS (e.g., Zephyr) and/or embedded Linux.

  • Familiarity with embedded system constraints such as memory usage, power efficiency, or real-time performance.

  • Languages: Proficiency in Mandarin; ability to read and write technical documentation in English.

Required Competencies

  • Strong programming skills in C.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and socket programming.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code review processes.
  • Familiar with debugging tools and practices at both application and kernel levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in system-level debugging.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.
