As a Billing Consultant supporting worksite/voluntary insurance benefits you will support billing and customer service for both insurance producers and their clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and processional individual to give best in class service providing problem resolution, decision and providing clear written and verbal communication to internal and external clients. Your focus will be on solving complex billing and premiums management. Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical billing expert on escalated billing items for worksite products such as Group Whole Life, Universal Life and accident and critical illness coverage
- Provide excellent customer service to insurance producers, clients and business operations
- Conduct billing research and analysis and proactively communicate findings
- Full ownership of premium management and complex billing to include:
- Responsible for past due premium suspense and clearing funds timely
- Payment collections and customer updates
- Assist with projects and partner with business to ensure solutions and areas for improvement
- Develop recommendations and implement processes for continuous improvement
- Participate in complex billing related escalation calls
- Fully understand operational and regulatory objectives to ensure compliance and service levels
- Perform special projects at request by leadership
- Act with a sense of urgency and take ownership of each customer interaction
- Works within various systems to research, record and process work
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
BA or BS degree in Business Administration or
Highschool diploma with 2+ years of experience with Worksite/Voluntary employer benefits
Experience working with billing and premium systems or similar financial tools
Demonstrated experience in meeting deadlines with a strong ability to prioritize work
Proficient with MS Office including Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel)
Is reliable, trustworthy, and maintains appropriate organizational confidentiality
Strong business writing skills, superb written communication skills; is familiar with business and phone protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
Worksite/Voluntary benefit billing experience
Support to complex books of business
The annual compensation range starts at $60,000 but can increase depending on experience and qualifications
