In this role, you will directly contribute to ___.

• Actively participate in global platform field escalations, emphasizing in Lam platforms on Etch, Deposition, Clean products, and mechatronics products.
• Acquire and apply engineering theories and problem solving skills in defining problem, investigation, troubleshooting, analyzing results and providing recommendations to resolution of technical problems.
• Conduct and design well defined experiments and tests pertaining to the development of new methods, hardware, standards, modification of current material, components, software or resolution of complex technical problems. Generate clear and concise reports to justify the technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.
• Highly quantitative, and ability to articulate plan including findings, data collected and progress to Lam's customers on a regular basis.
• Act as liaison for cross functional projects across organization.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, assuring proper release and hand-off of solutions to field support organizations.
• Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near term product releases and solve customer issues.
• Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
• Ability to complete projects and learn the required skills with minimal guidance.
• Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.

• Prior product design, Automation and Robotics experience is beneficial.
• Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
• Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
