Job Description

Team Summary

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is a key pillar of Visa's Value-Added Services (VAS) strategy, driving client growth through consulting and analytics (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems, focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact projects with tangible financial results.

What a Director, VCA does at Visa:

As a Director in VCA, you will lead client engagements, shape consulting solutions, and drive execution across a range of strategic topics such as payment strategy, customer experience, marketing, and risk management. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including business development, product, marketing, and merchant services to scale Visa's impact in the market.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Consulting Project Management: Lead the execution of consulting projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality deliverables, on time and within budget.
  • Strategy Implementation: Contribute to the successful implementation of the company's strategy in the Taiwan market, ensuring that consulting activities positively impact clients' business goals.
  • Proactive Identification of Client Needs: Identify and anticipate client needs proactively by monitoring emerging digital industry trends and maintaining open communication channels with all stakeholders.
  • Process Automation: Optimize consulting execution through continuous process automation, improving efficiency, output quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration with Functional Teams: Collaborate effectively with other functional teams to ensure a cohesive strategy and holistic project implementation.
  • Creation of Scalable Methodologies: Support the creation of holistic and structured consulting frameworks, promoting scalable go-to-market methodologies and leveraging standardized workflows.
  • Promotion of Digital Transformation: Act as a driving force for digital transformation and change, inspiring colleagues and clients to embrace innovative digital practices.
  • Best Practices and Knowledge Sharing: Promote the cross-pollination of best practices across all teams and projects to standardize processes and share knowledge.
  • Collaboration with the Fintech Ecosystem: Collaborate with the broader fintech and digital ecosystem to incorporate external perspectives in developing client-centric solutions.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 12 years and above experience in consulting strategy, financial institutions, or payment industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as business administration, economics, finance, computer science, engineering. A master's degree in related fields is a plus.
  • Problem solving ability with strategic focus on influencing incremental growth. Understanding of card and payment P&L and critical factors driving profitability.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Strong team leadership skills with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills
  • Team player with agile focus.
  • Language skills – strong English and Mandarin Chinese, written and verbal skills.

  • Proven experience in delivering growth for financial services products.
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services ecosystem in Taiwan.
