This role is part of a fast-growing US-based AI startup that is transforming manufacturing quality through advanced computer vision and automation. The company's flagship products combine NVIDIA GPU-powered hardware with industry-leading AI models, and are already deployed in over 150 factories worldwide. With global teams across the US, LATAM, and APAC, the company is building the next generation of intelligent inspection systems for industrial applications.
Job Description
- Roadmap Execution: Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and manage the technical roadmap for current and future AI vision products.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers across hybrid and remote setups, including cross-site collaboration with Brazil and remote teams.
- Release & Process Management: Establish and maintain release structures, manage sprints, and track engineering performance to ensure predictable, high-quality deliveries.
- Requirements & Communication: Define technical requirements, set priorities, and report progress to leadership and the broader engineering organization.
- Cross-Time-Zone Collaboration: Work effectively across multiple time zones (Taiwan, Brazil, US West Coast).
- Travel: Occasional travel to support team members or customer engagements.
- Culture & Performance: Foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and collaboration in a fast-paced startup environment.
The Successful Applicant
Required:
- 3+ years of experience managing software or firmware engineering teams in a high-growth environment
- 7+ years of experience in software development
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade software, ideally in embedded systems, computer vision, or industrial automation
- Experience in sprint planning, release management, and performance tracking
- 2+ years of experience in defining requirements and reporting progress to leadership
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and remote team management
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
