Optimization Application Developer

【Responsibilities】

We are actively seeking highly motivated individuals with a background in semiconductor, manufacturing, transportation, or operations research, to join our team as Optimization Algorithm Engineers. This role involves working closely with our engineering teams to develop optimization models for smart manufacturing and complex decision-making processes.

1. Develop mathematical optimization models to support smart manufacturing decision-making processes, based on various client requirements.
2. Apply optimization techniques to real-world industry problems, including but not limited to maritime logistics (fleet scheduling), semiconductor industry (intelligent job scheduling) and healthcare systems (staff shift optimization)
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and integrate decision-support systems.

【Qualifications】

1. Master's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Transportation Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
2. Fresh graduates are welcome. Prior experience in semiconductor cleanroom process, device modeling, or optimization system development is a plus.
3. English: Intermediate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening (TOEIC ≥ 650 or equivalent).
4. Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

【Required Skills】

1. Experience with optimization software/tools such as CPLEX, Gurobi, FICO XPRESS, or related tools.
2. Programming experience in Python, C#, or C++.
3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

【Preferred Qualifications】

1. (Required) Practical experience building large-scale decision-support systems using Mathematical Programming techniques (e.g., LP, MIP, CP, NLP) in domains such as manufacturing – production scheduling, capacity planning and transportation – facility location planning, routing, crew scheduling.
2. (Required) Familiarity with advanced decomposition techniques such as Benders Decomposition, Dantzig–Wolfe Decomposition, or Lagrangian Relaxation.
3. Proficiency in C#, Python, C++, SQL, and optimization tools (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi, FICO XPRESS); experience with simulation tools like FlexSim is a plus.
4. Data processing experience using Python and Scikit-learn.
5. Basic knowledge of web development, database management, and system integration.
6. Strong passion for software development and optimization, with a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
