Moderna is solidifying its presence in Taiwan, a region known for its robust biotech and technology sectors. Our Taiwan office will concentrate on commercial activities delivering our innovative mRNA products to the Taiwanese market. We're inviting professionals who are eager to drive significant advancements in global health through our cutting-edge mRNA technology.
This role is pivotal in establishing and nurturing relationships within the medical and healthcare community, including healthcare practitioners, policy makers, payers, patient groups, and healthcare administrators. This role focuses on ensuring a deep understanding of Moderna's science and data while gathering insights to advance healthcare outcomes. You will engage in peer-to-peer scientific exchanges, foster trust, and leverage digital tools to enhance personalized interactions. This role is crucial in establishing Moderna's thought leadership and advancing our mRNA platform's potential in patient care.
Here's what you'll do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Develop and execute territory engagement plans aligned with quarterly medical priorities, using insights into the healthcare ecosystem and Moderna's therapeutic areas.
Engage with a wide array of stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders, public health institutions, and patient advocacy groups, to address challenges impacting patient care.
Utilize Moderna's Scientific Communications Platform and generative AI to simplify complex scientific topics, gather actionable insights, and inform strategies to address unmet medical needs.
Share cutting-edge clinical data, discuss mRNA platform science, and engage on topics such as Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Real-World Evidence (RWE).
Collaborate with internal teams and healthcare professionals to co-design solutions improving patient outcomes.
Plan and execute medical engagement activities, including advisory boards and medical conferences, while managing processes related to grants, fellowships, and investigator-initiated studies.
Ensure adherence to ethical standards, document activities in CRM systems, and comply with adverse event reporting and relevant policies.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Building strong relationships within the healthcare community to convey insights to Moderna and help improve patient pathways.
Continuously enhancing expertise in Moderna's mRNA platform, healthcare regulations, and digital engagement practices.
Mentoring and coaching colleagues as needed while driving initiatives that enhance internal and external training efforts.
Adopting a "Digital First" mindset to innovate interactions and engagements within the healthcare sector.

Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive initiatives, share knowledge, and contribute to internal training efforts.
Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications):
Master's degree in a scientific discipline required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Medical Affairs or field medical roles, including at least 2 years of experience engaging with healthcare systems
Familiarity with regulatory environments across key regions (e.g. FDA, EMA, and other regional health authorities)
Proficiency in digital technology and familiarity with virtual presentation platforms and CRM systems
Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications):
Advanced degree in a Scientific Discipline (i.e. MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred
Experience in Medical Affairs, clinical development, market access, with mRNA vaccines, or therapeutic areas like immunology or infectious diseases.
Established relationships or networks within international health organizations or institutions (e.g. WHO, GAVI, regulatory bodies, or scientific societies).
Demonstrated ability to navigate compliance frameworks and interact ethically within a field-based role.
Fluent in English, bilingual abilities preferred.
Proficiency in digital technology and familiarity with virtual presentation platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience training or mentoring teams or external healthcare providers on complex scientific concepts in a global context.
Knowledge of health economics, real-world data/evidence (RWD/RWE), and regulatory frameworks in both developed and emerging markets.
Demonstrated expertise in using digital-first approaches for stakeholder engagement, including innovative platforms and tools in markets with variable technology access.
