Radio Engineer, Wireless Engineering Position

As a Senior Principal Engineer on our Radio Engineering Group within the Wireless Engineering Organization, you'll be responsible for crafting and maintaining radio communication solutions related to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and WWAN. This role demands a deep understanding of industry chipsets and technologies, enabling you to create industry-leading wireless module solutions for Dell Technologies' PC client portfolio.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to defining wireless product requirements and features and provide platform integration and solution architecture guidance
  • Design and develop radio communication solutions in collaboration with our radio partners, managing partner development expectations, deliverables, and collaborating with our platform ODM partners
  • Evaluate and test radio solutions to ensure fulfillment of Dell feature requirements and specifications
  • Support platform integration, security, and customer/field issue resolution
  • Engage with technology partners and monitor industry trends to stay informed on the latest radio technologies for relevant roadmap and product inclusion

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong background in wireless engineering and radio communication systems design, along with detailed knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and/or 3GPP (5G/LTE) networking technologies. You should have a deep understanding of PC hardware, BIOS, operating systems, and secure software driver architectures. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, as well as leadership, communication, and project management skills, are essential for this role.

Desirable Skills

  • Hands-on experience with RF performance characterization, optimization, and tuning
  • Experience in IoT technologies, protocols, and end-to-end remote device management solutions
