About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled BIOS Principal Engineer to join our Firmware Engineering team in Taipei. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing BIOS development for assigned projects, participating in the preparation and review of software requirements and specifications, and creating design and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ODMs and vendor assessments for new product development and manage ODMs and vendors for software development, issue management, and root cause analysis.
  • Communicate project issues and status clearly and accurately log project schedule, defect, and other data into the appropriate databases.
  • Collaborate with other functional teams, including EE, BIOS, Testing, and Dell internal software teams.
  • Manage tech providers and ODMs to conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and bug fixes for software-related issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Software project management, risk management, and change management experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS and driver architecture, device driver and software programming experience, and basic understanding of hardware and BIOS interactions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to operate as an individual contributor and within a team environment, with good interpersonal and communication skills in English.
