Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Principal Engineer to join our Networking Hardware Engineering Team in Taipei, Taiwan. The successful candidate will be responsible for the verification and qualification of complex copper cables and optical fiber transceiver modules in various systems.

This role requires collaboration with functional HW & SW Engineering team on all matters related to datacenter and GenAI-focused network compute, storage, and switch connectivity using optical and copper technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of high-speed pluggable transceiver form-factors and MSAs, SFP+/QSFP+/QSFP-DD/OSFP connectors, cages and their mechanical and thermal design.

The Electrical Principal Engineer will work closely with lead engineers and architects to select components based on analysis of specifications, cost, continuity of supply, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
  2. Analyzes equipment and test plan requirements to perform verification; conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
  3. Works with lead engineer or architect to select components based on analysis of specifications, cost, continuity of supply, and reliability.
  4. Reviews original design manufacturer and sub-tier vendor capability to support product development and production.

Requirements:

  • BS of EE with 6~8 years of experience in Fiber Optic Communication and HW Product Development
  • Solid understanding of high-speed pluggable transceiver form-factors and MSAs
  • Good communication and documentation skills are a must
