Firmware Engineer

Deliver next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world.

Join our software engineering team to design and develop sophisticated systems and software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics.

Take part in the full software development life cycle, including architecture, design, development, test, and continuous delivery of embedded controller firmware.

Lead next-generation firmware architecture design, ensuring it is modular, portable, resilient, and secure on ARM-based embedded controllers.

  • Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools, and processes.
  • Develop flexible, scalable, and complex programs using written or verbal design specifications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Design and develop firmware for Dell client products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to realize features through development, test, and delivery.
  • Guide team members in the use of design collaboration, code reviews, and development tools.
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer with a master's or bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of relevant experience in embedded firmware architecture, design, and development.

You will also need knowledge of real-time operating systems, device drivers, databases, system, network protocols, and embedded software/firmware.

A strong understanding of security development lifecycle, technical common security vulnerabilities and risks, and countermeasures is essential.

Familiarity with source code analysis tools and AI assistant tools is also required.
