  • Review and advise on general commercial agreements for clients, merchants, suppliers and any other party as the company may have.
  • Ensure the company operation is compliant with local regulations, including but not limited to voucher related regulations, payment regulations, anti-trust, AML, personal data protection and employment law,
  • Participate in regional and/or global Legal and/or Data Protection meetings and coordinate with other regional counsels to ensure the Group's policies, including but not limited to, personal data protection, AML, anti-trust, anti-fraud, ISO policies are implemented and followed to the extent permissible and applicable under local laws.
  • Lead the projects related to legal, compliance, audit topics.
  • Handle lawsuits, consumer complaints and law enforcement investigations on behalf of the company.
  • Advise on general legal, regulatory and compliance matters with respect to ongoing business activities.
  • Participate in business strategy making and support to achieve the business goals of the Company.
  • Lead/support corporate secretary, public affairs and lobbying activities of the Company.
  • Contract management and intellectual property management.
  • Ensure that appropriate tools (such as One Trust, Salesforce and Jira) are utitlised and updated as required in the performance of duties.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in law. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Qualified to practise law at least in Taiwan. Qualified to practise law in other APAC jurisdictions is a plus.
  • Between 8-10 years working experience in both legal firm or as in-house legal counsel.
  • Solid knowledge and experiences in payment and banking regulations, and/or IT Technology industry background.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement ideas/initiatives tactically with high attention to details.
  • Solid contract / legal / negotiating drafting skills.
  • Handling or coordinating dispute settlement, arbitration, and litigation.
  • Experience with handling external legal firms and counsels.
