Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

 

 

Purpose of the Position:

As a product quality control engineer to manage Finishing Good by inspection, statistical data analysis and process data mining. Build up Quality Control and sampling plan to fulfill customers requirement and conducting continuous quality improvement with Production/Engineering teams/Commercial Technology team by PDCA cycling

 

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Inspection Judgment criteria standardization across plants among China,Taiwan,Japan, and Korea region, including classification rule, specification and measurement
  • Sustain the transparency between Division guidelines and plants’ execution through managing SOP and monitor plants’ real practice
  • Run committee of inspection judgment criteria and QC rules with process engineering teams to review changes and conduct risk assessment, and align the decision
  • Gauge R&R practice among plants to ensure measurement integrity
  • Establish Quality Architecture in new attributes, which works with Commercial Technology
  • Finishing Goods offload quality management including qualification and IQC performance tracking, and address CAPA
  • Lead Division Quality projects working with cross functions among division wide and manufacturing group

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree above
  • Major in Engineering, IE, statistics, or related field
  • Three years or above experiences in QA/Engineering is preferred

  • Fluent English in speaking, writing and reading (TOEIC >550)

 

Desired Skills:

  • Well computer skill in PowerPoint, Excel, VBA, Power BI.
  • Statistic tool: Minitab/ SPC XL… etc.
  • Programming skill is plus, including R, Python, SQL, VBA, Java/C#... etc.
