We’re seeking an innovative Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and develop the R&D capabilities for Robotics & AI products. The desired profile must have a strong business acumen with well-versed knowledge and product development experience in Robotics & AI.   
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business short-term and long-term goals. Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantages.
  • Present reports on the company’s technology status, goals and or progress. Communicate technology strategy to internal stakeholders, partners/suppliers, and investors.
  • Identify what technologies can be used to improve the company’s products and services. Serve on the executive committee to align technology goals to other departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
  • Review and approve overall responsibility for development of the company’s new products and services; implement technology-specific best practices & standards; controls success criteria from design through deployment.
  • Work with customers and key stakeholders (internal & external) to agree upon requirements and the design of the solution being implemented.
 
Key Requirements:
  • Ph.D. Degree with majors in engineering/science studies. Preferred research experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Computing, Robotics, Electro-Mechanical engineering, Automation Control, etc.    
  • 10+ years of new technology/product development experience with a progressive managerial responsibility of handling a large-scale program as well as managing multi-disciplined R&D teams. Previous experience as a CTO, Director, or similar leadership role.
  • Entrepreneur mindset. Ability to quickly adapt himself/herself in a dynamic business environment. Experience of working overseas, especially in the United States, Singapore, or Mainland China will be an advantage.
  • Proven track records of successfully developing a new product/technology into mass production within tight schedules. Demonstrated strong leadership with skills in strategic planning, goal setting, processes development, budgeting, and creating opportunities for professional development within technology teams.
  • Solid understanding of broad technology trends and the ability to align innovation with business goals. Ability to see the big picture while focused on short-term objectives and deliverables.
  • Strong communication with ability to convey technical topics in easy-to-understand business terms and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strategic smarts, including the ability to identify new opportunities, drive clarity, create focus, and make tough decisions in complex and dynamic contexts. Ability to track and identify new technologies to solve complex business issues.
