EHS Expert, Safety Process

Job Responsibilities
• Assist facilities as needed in performing PHA analyses, dispersion modelling and facility siting, EHS Criticality Assessments, and LOPA analyses.
• Provide input as needed to update / own the relevant Process Safety Procedures, ensuring they are current, reflect latest thinking, are broadly accessible within the company, translated, and that collateral documents are similarly updated. Provide input as needed to update involving the EHS Standards. Function as the Company internal consultant for the collective IPL/SIL skill area.
• Provide internal resource to sites to resolve actions raised in PS activities (such as Process Hazard Analysis, PS Audits, PS investigations, etc.). This could involve almost any unit operation employed on our diverse range of process plant.
• As needed, lead and/or participate in PS related incident investigations. 
• Provision of and development of training in PS methodologies.
• Participation (and leading) in PS audits.  Providing input into the PS audit process (such as development of audit protocols, auditor training, etc.).
• Generally provide Process Engineering advice and support to all APAC sites. - optional
• Participate in relevant Industry Committees on Company’s behalf to ensure currency with industrial practices and trends as well as providing a conduit to pending legislation / regulation.  This can include participation in bench-marking to further assist calibration / validation of the Company PS effort.
 
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s Chemical Engineering Degree or equivalent required.
Skill:
• Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Familiar with risk identification and minimisation techniques.
• Familiar with failure mechanisms, protection systems and their design.
• Knowledge of regulations, guidelines and legislation.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin, both verbal and written, is essential in order to support the sites and to produce reports of good quality.  Dual languages would be desirable.    
Travel Requirement:
Extensive travel within APAC is required, and as required, travel to APAC and the Americas.
